The definitions of the word, Patrimony, being: property inherited from one's father or male ancestor, or things passed down from previous generations, evoke concepts of ownership, cultural heritage and the temporal proximity of Victorian women to millenial woman today. In the final book, two portraits of each woman tells us that there is more to them than how they look for a fraction of a second, and
empowers each individual as strong, contemporary heroines in their own right.
